Pine Plant Study ~ December 910:00 - 1:00
Join us, as we discover the magic and medicine of one of our most beloved trees - Pine! We'll meet with several different species of Pine ~ Pinus ponderosa, Pinus contorta and Pinus monticola ~ up-close and personal. We'll learn how to prepare Pine in a variety of ways as medicine. Take home samples will include a Pine pitch salve and a Pine cough syrup.
Pre-registration is required. This is an outdoor event so please dress appropriately.

Join us for a walk through the Interior Cedar Hemlock Rain Forest ~ the only rain forest in the world that derives some of its precipitation from snow! We'll discuss some of the amazing features of this unique forest, look at lichens, plants, trees, shrubs and shrooms that are unique to the rain forest. We'll finish our walk with a fire and fireside refreshments in the kekuli! This is a special Christmas event and children and families are welcome.
Please meet at the Interpretive Centre no ealier than 10:45 and in time to start at 11:00. This is an outdoor event so dress appropriate for Winter weather.
